Abstract: One of the key ways that television connects to other media is by adapting preexisting properties from films, comics, and other formats. Henry Jenkins uses one of the most popular of such recent adaptations, The Walking Dead, to highlight the perils and possibilities of adaptations, and how tapping into preexisting fan bases can pose challenges to television producers.
